Born in Missouri, July 5, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Irene Behner Mrs. Shreve was retired from Performed Line Products after over fifteen years of service and formerly served with Federal Pacific for over fifteen years. She loved bingo and playing the lottery and was most known to friends as an avid machine gambler.

Mrs. Shreve was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in New London, NC.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by brothers;Roy and Ray; and a sister, Neleta.

Survivors include a daughter, Jennie Shreve Parnell and husband Bruce of Jackson; two granddaughters, Megan Sides and husband Michael of Stanfield, NC and Madison Worley and husband Matthew of Albemarle, NC; one great-grandchild, Madelyn Sides; step grandchildren, Nicolas Parnell and Kendall Parnell of Mt Gilead, NC; and several nieces and nephews of Kansas.
Graveside funeral services for Wanda LaRean “Wendy” Behner Shreve will be conducted Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 44118 NC Hwy 740, New London, NC.
