She was an Anderson County native who lived in Atlanta for 10 years before moving back to Oliver Springs 20 years ago.
She was a member of Big Emory Baptist Church in Harriman where she actively participated in the Women's
Fellowship Ministry. She also volunteered and worked often at the Oliver Springs Abundant Life
Center.
She was preceded in death by her father, Drexel Omer Hatmaker; by her brother, Timothy Allen
Hatmaker; and by her niece, Jamie Norton.
She is survived by two sons, Brian Everhart and Michael Mello, both of Oliver Springs; her mother,
Helen Hatmaker of Oliver Springs; her brother, Dan Hatmaker and wife, Deanna, of Powell; and by
two sisters, Debbie Hatmaker of Oliver Springs, and Cathy Melton of Clinton.
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family members, special friends,
and a longtime pet, Bossie.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. tonight in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs
with the Rev. David Harmon officiating.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at Oak Ridge Memorial
Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs is in charge of arrangements.
