Notes for Armstrong Pleasant “A. P.” MYERS
Andrew Pleasant MYERS, son of James Napoleon MYERS and Margaret Caroline LINDSEY went also by A.P. MIRES. He married Sara Jane MCCLURE on Sept 2, 1880 and was the parents of my great grandfather Andrew Jacskon "Little Andy" MYERS. They had 11 children and lived in the mountains of the Great Smoky Mountains. Some of their children are still living in and around the Sevierville, area of Sevier County, TN. They have been the focus of a few books written regarding the gov't purchase of land from families in the Smokies and have had their picture placed a at least 2 books that I've found thus far.

“I am bound to them though I cannot look into their eyes or hear their voices. I honor their history. I cherish their lives.
I will tell their story. I will remember them for I am the result of the very love, struggle, sacrifice and journey of thousands.”
