Notes for William E. HURT
He is mentioned in a sale of tobacco to Thomas Frazier, a lawyer in Dyer County. The sale was made to satisfy a debt he owed to Mr. Frazier. This family came to Dyer County in the late 1830's. They were listed in the census in Dyer County in 1840.

Probably, Elizabeth Hudson Hurt was the elderly woman living in their household. They bought fine timbered land, built log cabins and farmed.

He was living with Mack and Martha Ann in the 1870 census. He was listed as being disabled.
According to the census of 1840, there are more children, but I do not have their names., ,, ,, ,
