John:
Sending pictures of my grandfather Rome Ryan and Isaac Burton (Bart) Ryan I think it is important to share the knowledge of family history  & family pictures as sometimes there are very few to pass along

Bart is the one that died in the house fire in Kansas City Kansas along with his dog that tried to save him. I will find the article from the newspaper and send it if you want it
I think that my grandfather and Bart resemble each other. Would love to have one of Abner and Thomas B Ryan.

Also sending photo of William Hutson's stone at Fontana Cemetery. His Civil War Marker is to the right of the stone. He was married to Elizabeth (Effie) Ryan oldest daughter of Abner and Rebecca.
She is suppose to be in a small cemetery over by Garnett Kansas and I went there but did not find her (or there is no stone for her),  So we are third cousins once removed ( is that by marriage). Haven't figured out after third and fourth cousins.

Bart died in a fire caused by dropping his pipe in his lap. His dog Brownie tried to save him but perished as well.204

“I am bound to them though I cannot look into their eyes or hear their voices. I honor their history. I cherish their lives.
I will tell their story. I will remember them for I am the result of the very love, struggle, sacrifice and journey of thousands.”
