Services for James Nunnally, 83, Tyler, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lloyd James Funeral Home chapel, Tyler, with the Rev. Richard Luna officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Nunnally died May 30, 2007, in Tyler.
He was born April 20, 1924, in Jacksonville to the late Guy Reagan and Lillie Willis Nunnally. He graduated from Jacksonville Senior High School in 1941 and from Lon Morris College and received his bachelor's degree from The University of Texas. He retired from the federal government after 17 years as a radiological physician and taught radiological physics at Southwestern Medical School of Dallas and Lon Morris College in Jacksonville. He was co-author of the first edition of "An Introduction to the Physics of Diagnostic Radiology." He was a member of International Graphic Analysis Society Inc., Society of Nuclear Medicine, and American Board of Radiology. He played in U.S. Open Postal Chess Championship.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Helen Frances Terrell Nunnally, Tyler; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Bill Pratt, Dennis Fowler, Morgan Strong, J. Carnahan, Paul Manziel and Gordon Bryson.
Honorary pallbearers are Robbie Robertson, John Paul Manziel, Bob Urban, Zeke Ziober, Harley Hooper and Steve Ramsey.
Family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
If desired, memorials may be made to Pollard United Methodist Church, 3030 Copeland Road, Tyler, 75701; or charity of choice.
