Warren Odel "Shorty" Shely passed away on November 28, 2012 at home with his loved ones at his side. He was eighty-four years old. He was born on February 24, 1928 in Socorro, New Mexico to Aubrey Adair Shely and Bessie (Cook) Shely. He is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years, Irene Shely, and his youngest daughter, Karen Shely. He is survived by his two daughters, Yvonne McCary and Jenny Hinman, one brother, George Barnes, six grandchildren: Michelle Giles, Christie Hinman, Mark Hinman, David Heanger, Brady McCary and Seth McCary: and eleven great-grandchildren, Joshua McCary, Ashley Gomez, Katelyn Gomez, Logan Henager, Warren Henager, Tripp Henager, Amy Hinman, Marcus Gomez, Colin McCary, Wes Hinman, and Gabby McCary. He began working residential construction but spent the majority of his thirty plus years working commercial construction projects located in Texas and eastward to the Carolinas. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Noon at the Abbey Chapel at Restland with burial following at Restand Memorial Park.
