OVERBROOK --- Eula M. Barger, 79, Overbrook, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Barger had worked for Southwestern Bell in Lawrence and Topeka and was a supervisor in the business office when she retired in 1972.
She was born July 1, 1923, in Topeka, the daughter of William Harley and Vera McNemar Rathbun.
Mrs. Barger was a member of the Overbrook First Christian Church and Telephone Pioneers. She was a former member of the Topeka Bowling League, Ladies of The Moose Lodge No. 555, Central Park and Topeka First Christian churches and Pilot Club 99's.
She married William "Dick" Barger on Nov. 14, 1941. He survives.
Survivors also include three sisters, Patti Garrett, Lawrence, Lois Lorence, Topeka, and Donna Bender, Gahanna, Ohio; and a brother, Bruce Rathbun, Stockton, Calif.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Overbrook First Christian Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka. Mrs. Barger will lie in state after noon today at Penwell- Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today.
