My father was born in Baltimore, Maryland, s/o William Wirth and Barbara Weissinger Wirth. William and Barbara came over from Germany in 1906 and lived and died in the Baltimore Area.

William, Jr. married Margaret Marie Cole, d/o of Adolphus Houston Cole and Sarah Elizabeth Warren. They had one child - Barbara Elizabeth Wirth (me).

William and Margaret were divorced and William married Alice Streett Grier. Alice had 3 children. We lived on Belair Rd. in Baltimore. William and Alice had 2 children together. Dad died at the young age of 48.

“I am bound to them though I cannot look into their eyes or hear their voices. I honor their history. I cherish their lives.
I will tell their story. I will remember them for I am the result of the very love, struggle, sacrifice and journey of thousands.”
