Mildred Ruby Blackburn, 68, who had been in Birmingham, Ala. Since Feb. 21, died Thursday, March 23, 1978, at Brookwood Hospital there. She was born Feb 26, 1910, at Tuscumbia to John and Minnie A. Nixdorf Kallenbach. March 14, 1931, she was married at Eldon to James D. Blackburn, who died March 21, 1977.
Mrs. Blackburn, who had made her home in Eldon, was a member of Saline Valley Church of Christ.
Surviving are her son, James D. Blackburn, Birmingham, Ala.; three sisters, Stella and Ruth Kallenbach, both of Eldon, and Mrs. Hazel Curty, Etterville; three brothers, J.F. Kallenbach, Tuscumbia, and Henry and Edison Kallenbach, both of Eldon; and four grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a brother, Raymond Kallenbach and a sister, Mrs. Nell Jarrett.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon with Bro. Murl Nash officiating. Burial was in Tuscumbia Cemetery.

James Lee Blackburn, 67, of 101 E. Newton Ave., Eldon, died Monday, March 21, 1977, at Charles E. Still Hospital, Jefferson City. Funeral services for Mr. Blackburn will be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon.
He was born Oct. 18, 1909, in Rook County, Kansas, to Clarence Lee and Rosa Myrtie Harris. He was married March 14, 1931, at Eldon to Ruby Kallenbach, who survives.
Mr. Blackburn managed an MFA plant at Fortuna many years and was with the MFA plant at Eldon several years. At the time of his retirement in 1976 he was manager at the Eugene Anchor Mill. He was a member of the Saline Valley Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife he leaves a son, James D. Blackburn, Birmingham, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Apperson, and Miss Mary Blackburn, both of Eldon; and four grandchildren.
Bro. Murl Nash, Bro. Ted Sewell and Bro. James Frisby will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the Tuscumbia Cemetery.
