George P. Burke, of Roslyn, Ky., died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Effie Koomer [sic], in Louisville at 8:30 Thursday morning after a lingering illness extending over a period of several months.

The deceased had been in ill health for the past year and has spent most of the time in Louisville under the care of a physician.

Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Lizzie A. Burke, two daughters, Mrs. Effie Koomer [sic] and Mrs. Roxie Crook of Louisville, and one son, Charles Burke, of Lexington, and several relatives in this city.

The remains will be brought to the home of his son, in Lexington, Thursday afternoon, and taken to Beattyville, Friday morning, for burial.
