50-year-old Argiva Valesco Hurt was interred, per the Chico Cemetery Association Records, in the plot noted, on June 12, 1905.

Chico Daily Record, Tuesday, June 13, 1905, pg 5 col 4: Mrs. Hurt Dead. Mrs. Hurt, whose serious illness following the sudden death of her daughter a couple of weeks ago has been heretofore noted, passed away in Chico Vecino early Sunday morning and was buried yesterday afternoon in Chico cemetery alongside her daughter. Her husband, who had come to this city from Oregon shortly after his daughter's death, and a son, were at the bedside when the summons came.
