Her funeral were held on June 13, 1909 and conducted by the Cory & Bratton Funeral Home. They were held at the Sumpter residence, where she passed on; the Rev. Demetrius Tillotson officiated. Obituary published in the Lebanon (Boone County, Indiana) Patriot on June 17, 1909.

His parents moved to Indiana in abt the fall of 1830.
Occupation: Minister; he was one of the pioneer Methodist ministers in Indiana. He was also a farmer and a stock buyer.
He was a member of the Jamestown Masonic Lodge, (helping to establish it), Odd Fellows, & the Knights of Pythias.
C.O.D. Paralysis; had the disease 3 years prior to death; (Obit says: Softening of the brain) He had been in declining health for the last 10 years, having been in severely ill the last 2 years of his life. The last 6 months he was confined to his bed.
Funeral service were conducted by the Cory & Bratton Funeral Home; the Rev. Demetrius Tillotson officiated. He was buried on June 13, 1901; Obituary published in the Lebanon (Boone County, Indiana) Patriot on June 13, 1901.
