ORBIE L. ROBERTS Orbie Lee Roberts , 73, Kansas City, Kan., died Nov. 18, 1993, at Providence Medical Center. Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Maple Hill Chapel; burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the Faith Temple Family Worship Center. Mr. Roberts was born in Tulsa, Okla., and lived in Lincoln, Ark., before moving to this area more than 25 years ago. He formerly was a police officer for the Merriam Police Department. He was a 32nd-degree Mason. He was a Marine veteran of World War II and a member of the Isadore Hoehn post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Edith V. Roberts of the home; four stepsons, William Smith and Tom Smith of Corvallis, Ore., Stephen Smith, Folsom, Calif., and Michael Smith, Houston; a stepdaughter, Linda Brock, Basehor in Leavenworth County; two sisters, Irene O'Neil, Canton, Okla., and Betty Hicks,Yucaipa, Calif.; and eight stepgrandchildren.

Mrs. Maxine Roberts 53, of 6435 Oak Grove Road, Kansas City, Kansas died of cancer yesterday at Bethany Medical Center. Mrs. Roberts was born in Evansville, Ark. and lived in Kansas City, Kansas seven years. She was a cashier for the Crosby Vending Company. She was a member of the Faith Temple in Kansas City, Kansas, and the Order of the Eastern Star at Lincoln, Ark. She leaves her husband, Orbie L. Roberts of the home; a son, Darrell B. Holcroft, and a daughter, Mrs. Donna Cantrell, both of Lincoln; her mother, Mrs. Eula Dunagan, 5033 Metropolitan, Kansas City, Kansas; six sisters, Mrs. Pauline Carroll, Porterville, Calif; Mrs. Irene Pennel, 5213 Lowell, Overland Park; Mrs. Wilma Doris, Caruthersville, Mo; Mrs. John Kentch, Scranton, Kan; Mrs.Reba Roberts, 7820 W. 52nd, Overland Park; Mrs.Clara McElhiney; 1508 S. 52nd Terrace, Kansas City, Kansas; two brothers, Tom Dunagan, 4033 Silver, Kansas City, Kansas; L.T. Dunagan, 10218 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, and 5 grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of God, 135 S. 13th, burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
