Notes for Leanard Ryan (Spouse 1)
L. R. Cotton, aged 77, a resident of this city for nearly 60 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. C. Bullock, on North Front Street at 1 o'clock this morning after an illness of more than a year.

The funeral service conducted by Rev. S. S. Key, was held in the Presbyterian Church at 4 o'clock this afternoon, interment being made in Brearley Cemetery. With his father, the late Jesse H. Cotton, Mr. Cotton came to this County in 1862, since which time he has continuously resided in and near this city. For many years he operated a grist mill, but of late years had not actively engaged in any business. He was a man of sterling worth and ability, possessed of a high sense of honor and a lofty conception of the duty he owed to his fellows. He was held in the highest respect and esteem by all, and though he had long since passed the allotted span of three score years and ten, his death brings genuine sorrow to all who knew him. Mr.

Cotton is survived by five children, three sons and two daughters: T. J. and Charley Cotton, of this city; L. R. Cotton, whose address is unknown; Mrs. R. C. Bullock and Mrs. H. L. Hunt, both of this city; four brothers and three sisters: W. E. Cotton, of Denver, Colo.; W. D. and, R. S. Cotton, of this city; Mrs. D. N. HalliBurton, of Little Rock; Mrs. W. C. Grace, of Mesa, Ariz.; Mrs. W. J. Blackwell, of Denver, Colo. (Post-Dispatch Newspaper, Dardanelle, Arkansas, Obituary was published on Aug 12, 1920)

On Find A Grave.

I will tell their story. I will remember them for I am the result of the very love, struggle, sacrifice and journey of thousands.”
