WINNIE AND MART HURT TO CELEBRATE GOLDEN WEDDING
To commemorate their 50th wedding anniversary Winnie and Mart Hurt will hold OPEN HOUSE at their home on Sunday, March 18, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
They ask that there be no gifts. However, a Wishing Well will be provided for those who Wish.
Arrangements are in the hands of Winnie's sister, Nina Holzhauser of Ukiah, and Anna Mae Howell.
Winnie and Mart were married March 16, 1912 at the home of Winnie's parents (Ruby and Bill Amberg now live there), Jennie and David Jamison. T h e ceremony was performed by the Rev. Bob Burns of the Baptist Church of Covelo (the Baptist Church stood on the site where the Social Hall is now), and Winnie's cousin, Luella Williams of Ukiah, played the Wedding March.
Present at the wedding, besides the Jamison and Hurt families, were Blanche Akers (Wlinnie's cousin), and Wilda Orbaun, now Wilda Hurt.
