!1. The Early Hurt Family of VA, Oscar Hurt, 1958, FHL# 854152-4 pg. 14.
!2. Oscar Hurt surmised that her name was Caroline Anderson based on the name
"Caroline" being recorded beside that of William in th 1790 Census for
Amelia Co., and the name of their son, Anderson, called "Anson". Also,
there was an Anderson family living nearby at that time on Stocks Creek,
Amelia Co., with whom William and his family had legal dealings.
