Margaret Hurt Vincen of Dry Creek passed away at the age of 84 years. She was born in Russell County Virginia. At the close of the civil war she moved to Idaho, coming to the Boise Valley where the family settled on a ranch known as the 'old Frank's place'. While living there she married Halley Vincen later moving to the upper Weiser valley. At the outbreak of the Bannock war she was rushed to old Fort Boise and later to Dry Creek where she resided until her death.
Inscription on her stone “Came to Idaho in covered wagon from Virginia.”
