(2) Ordinances: IGI T991082-41. Possible candidate for the Thomas Hurt who received the grant of arms and crest from the College of Heralds in 1565.
(3) Named in his father's will as, being married at that time with 6 children. He was either an only child or the only surviving child of his parents. Will of William Horte of Ashbourne, Derby, wd 30 Sep 1520, Episcopal Consistory Court of Litchfield # 28, Vol. 1, FHL# 95288 pgs. 28-30.
(4) All that remains of his own probate (FHL# 95404) 7 Oct 1539, is a very lengthly administration showing a considerable inventory of personal property.
