John’s first wife was Mary Hurt who was born in St. David VA, nd died in Amherst VA.
John and his second wife Susannah Harding Ellis Bickley were both buried in the Red
Hill Cemetery (Ellis family graveyard,but there remains along with other Ellis family
graves were later moved to the Amherst Public Cemetery. The graves are unmarked!
