She was married on August 12, 1960 in Robertson County to Jerry Edwin Gibbs (1938-2018), the son of Willie Carl Gibbs (1907-1982) and Mary Elizabeth (Hewitt) Gibbs (1902-1986).
Living in Old Hickory, Davidson County, Jayne was 80 years old when she passed away on March 30, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, son Stephen Richard "Richie" Gibbs (1968–2016), daughter-in-Law Jennifer Gibbs and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors included two Gibbs sons and a Gibbs daughter-in-law, two married Briggs brothers, a third Briggs sister-in-law, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at Hermitage Funeral Home on April 3rd, and burial was in Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joseph DeRice "J D" Gibbs (1927-1927), Claudine "Claude" Gibbs (1928-1971) and Willie Carl "Bill" Gibbs (1925-2002) and by his son Stephen Richard "Richie" Gibbs (1968–2016), Jerry was survived by his wife, two married sons, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and other family members and friends.
Celebration of Life Services were held at the chapel of Hermitage Funeral Home, and burial was in Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
