Betty Rose Nash Overton went to be with our Lord November 22, 2025. She was an amazingly strong southern women with many proud moments in her life. For over 50 years she owned Denson's Bridal, doing what she did best, helping brides dress for their special day. Many brought their daughters back to buy their dresses. She was also a Mrs. Alabama contestant, taught first grade Sunday School at Frazer Methodist, and was 1999 Queen of Bal Masque. She has joined her husband of 63 years Joe A, Overton, Jr.

OVERTON, Joe A. Jr., a resident of Montgomery, Alabama passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at the age of 82. Graveside service will be held Friday, May 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine /View Gardens with Dr. Jay Wolf officiating. Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.

Mr. Overton is survived by his wife, Betty R. Overton; children, Kim (Slade) McElroy, Lisa (Bob) Willingham, Kelly (Paul) DeLaitsch; brother, Edward Overton; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joel McElroy, Bobby Willingham, Blake Green, Matt McElroy, Thomas House and Slade McElroy.
