Spouse: married to his sweetheart, Rebecca Little on January 10, 1977; they recently celebrated 36 years together.
Family: his wife, Rebecca Briggs of the family home; three brothers: Robert C. Briggs and his wife Margaret of Dexter, N.M.; Howard G. Briggs, Sr. and his wife, Judy of Georgia; Harold Briggs and his wife Nancy of Arizona; sister Billie M. Ashcraft of Oklahoma; His "babies" were his dogs, Tinker, Jemima, and Bear, and his cat, Sabrina.
preceded in death by his parents, Howard S. Briggs and Thelma L. Tapely; sister, Wanda L. Cain; brother, James W. Mick; brother, Dale C. Briggs; sister-in-law, Barbara E. McCarty; and his precious dog, Goober.

Notes for Rebecca Francis “Becky” (Spouse 1)
A memorial gathering will be held for Rebecca (Becky) Francis Briggs, 64, of Roswell, at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2016, at 1307 W. 3rd St. Roswell, NM. Rebecca passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016.

Rebecca was born July 18, 1952, to Thomas Richard Little and Ida Patterson Little in Roswell, NM.

She married Donald Wayne Briggs on January 10, 1977, and they spent 36 happy years together before he preceded her in death in 2013. She loved to read/listen to books, play computer games, care for her beloved pets, and watch television.

Those left to remember her are her loving nieces who cared for her the last few years: Susan Curry and her husband Matthew; Patti Stacy and her husband Darrell. Also her sisters, Earlene Sears and her husband Dan of Lubbock; Linda Tarvin and her husband Larry of Lubbock; sister-in-law Karen Little of Roswell; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her beloved dogs, Jamima and Tinkerbell, and cat Sabrina, also survive her and are in the caring hands of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Richard Little, Ida Patterson Graham, and Hurmon Graham; her brother, Richard Little; and her sister, Barbara McCarty.

The family would like to thank Dr. Tareq Braik, Dr. Evan Nelson, and Dr. Fundador Adajar for their compassionate care these last six months while she fought cancer. The family especially wants to thank Dorothy Fuentes with Community Home Care for the excellent and loving care she gave Becky every day. Also thanks to Apria Healthcare and Frontier Medical.

The family suggests donations to the American Foundation for the Blind or the American Cancer Society.

Services are under the direction of Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory.
