Charles L. Wilkins Jr., 74, passed away Jan. 16, 1998. Beloved husband for 52 years of Christine Wilkins. Father of Charles T. (Debbie) Wilkins, and Cheri (Ken) Wertz, both of Pueblo, James (Porn) Wilkins of Saudi Arabia, Elizabeth Shaw of Colorado Springs, Tina (Russ) Glover of Sweet Home, Ore., and Crissa (Mike Singer) Wilkins of Colorado Springs. Also survived by eight grandchildren- four great-grandchildren- his sister, Frances (Earl) Bratcher, Amarillo, Texas- and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Lester Owen Wilkins, in 1990. Mr. Wilkins served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in W.W. II and retired from the Pueblo Depot Activity in 1990. Recitation of the rosary, 7 p.m. Monday, and funeral service, 10 a.m. Tuesday. Both services at McCarthy Rose Chapel. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. The family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society and will receive friends at 1157 Lane 27.

Christine Mary Wilkins, 89, of Pueblo, Colo. Born April 29, 1923, passed Dec. 31, 2012. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wilkins; son, Les Wilkins; parents, Lucy and Joe Thomas; siblings, Albert Thomas, Louie DiTomaso, John Thomas, Tony Thomas, Helen Eubanks and Esther Mauro. Survived by her children, Chuck (Debbie) Wilkins, Cheri (Ken) Wertz, Liz Shaw (Karen Valdez), James (Porn) Wilkins, Tina (Russ) Glover; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Christine retired as a baker from Pleasantview School. She enjoyed gardening, square dancing and going to Cripple Creek. Christine will be greatly missed! A special thanks to her caregiver, Susie Kratzer and Sangre de Cristo Hospice staff for their loving care. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of food and flowers, please make donations to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, 1207 Pueblo Boulevard Way, Pueblo, CO 81005.
