www.wabashplaindealer.com The Plain Dealer. Clyde L. Manges Monday, April 12, 2004 FORT WAYNE - Clyde L. Manges, 71, 103 Surrey Lane, North Manchester, died at 7:11 a.m. Sunday, April 11, 2004 at the Lutheran Hospital.
He was born on 27 January 1933 in Whitesville, to Cline and Marguerite (Loveless) Manges. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, Adam and Esther Loveless. He married R. Virginia Brewer on 12 Jul 1852. She survives.
He retired in May 1992 as an elementary school teacher from Metro North Elementary School, after 27 years service. He graduated from Bowers Central high School, montgomery County, and earned his baachelor of arts degree at Man.. College, and a master's degree from St. Francis College. He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and Manchester Church of the Brethren. He served as a Stephen minister through the church and was an avid sports fan and a loving and supportive father and grandfather.
Also surviving are a son, Scott (Debbie) Manges, North Manchester; a daughter, Mrs. Norm (Sue) Hudson, Valparaiso; three half brothers, Harry (Barb) Manges and Mike (Carol) Manges, both of Fort Wayne, and Hans (Kay) Manges, Bluffton; Mrs. Les (Joan0 Aiken, Lafayette; a stepsister, Mrs. Don (Bertha) Royer, Tiffin, Ohio; two half-sisters, Mrs. Dana (N..., Fort Wayne, and Mrs. George (Gwen) Kandel, Butler; and four grandchildren, Jeff (Angie) Manges, Logansport, A... Acree, Westfield, Jena Hudson and Julia Hudson, both of Valparaiso.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Manchester Church of the Brethren, North Manchester. Pastors Kurt and Karen Eberly will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manachester.
Friends may call at the DeLaughter-mcKee Mortuary North Manchester Chapel from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services at the church Wednesday.
