Hello John,

Yes, we are related through the Patton Line. Elizabeth Patton was married to Johnathon S. Ward. They were my Great Great Grandparents.
You have her middle name as Wood...which is an error I believe. In all census she is listed as Elizabeth S. Patton.
She was and Johnathon migrated to Kansas in the late 1850's (first at St. Marysville, then in 1870 to LIttle Walnut, Butler County, Kansas.) It is my belief that they were staunch abolitionists.
I would be glad to trade any more information with you. There is also a very excellent book that is The Blackburns in America, the Benjamin Blackburn Story at Ancestry.com that goes into greater detail about her and especially her mother's lineage.
I hope to hear from you soon,

Warmly,
Karen Baker475
