THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, July 9, 2001: 'BOGATA - Leon Tuck, 91, of Bogata died Sunday, July 8, 2001, at Red River Health Care Center after a long illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, in East Post Oak Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Daniels officiating. Wood Funeral Home will make burial in East Post Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 8 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. He was born Dec. 20, 1909, to Charlie and Johnie Street Tuck. He married Lizzie Ellen Lee July 20, 1952. He was an active member of East Post Oak Missionary Baptist Church which he loved to attend until his illness no longer allowed. He was a farmer in his younger years. He worked for the City of Fort Worth and the Bogata School, retiring in 1980. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Patricia Freelen and husband James of Rugby; Helen Roberts of Bogata, and Kathy Williams and husband Douglas of Bogata; six grandchildren, Jason Freelen, James Earl Freelen and wife Kelly, and Brandon Williams, all of Bogata, Jennifer Roberts of Denton, Wesley Roberts of Bogata, and Kevin Williams and wife, Jana of Sugar Hill; one great-granddaughter, Emalee Freelen; three sisters, Geraldine Blasingame and husband Cecil of Duncanville, Martha Smith of Liberty City, and Nanie Bell Ham of Deport; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Delmar, Herbert, and an infant brother; one sister, Alma Gray; one granddaughter, Monica Nichol Burnett; one son-in-law, Roy Roberts; and two brothers-in-law, Ernest Ham, and John Smith.'

Lizzie Ellen Tuck age 89 of Bogata gained her heavenly wings December 14, 2017. She was born on February 25, 1928 in Post Oak, the daughter of Jim and Cleo Turner Lee.
She married Leon Tuck on July 20, 1952 in Deport. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughters, Monica Nicole Burnett and Gracie Rayanne Williams; her siblings: J.N. Lee; Willie Lee; J.D. Lee; Frank Lee; Robert E. Lee; Alma Stevens; Ora Blassingame; Nora Tyler; and Lois Pierce. Ellen’s active life was worshiping and serving God. She also loved spending time with family, guiding them in the ways of our Lord; quilting, crocheting and gardening. Ellen worked at Red River Haven Nursing Home and the Rivercrest School System for many years.
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Patricia Freelen and husband James of Rugby; Helen Nolen and husband, Bobby of East Post Oak; Kathy Williams and husband, Doug of Bogata; a special niece, almost a 4th daughter, Rosetta Scott of Ft. Worth; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday December 17 in Bogata Missionary Baptist Church with Reverends, Joey Williams; Billy Daniels and Henry Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow in East Post Oak Cemetery.
