Notes for Henry RYAN
Henry Ryan was born in Knox County, Tennessee, per family bible and military records.

Mustered into the Union Army 17 March 1864, age 22. Served under Capt. J. J. Bennett, Co. A, 12th Regiment Missouri Cav Volunteers. Muster records show his name as Henry Ryne.

Discharged 29 June 1865 at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, by authorization of surgeon.
He married Mary Elizabeth Pfeifer 8 Feb 1866 in Polk Co, Missouri.
He died of unknown causes in 1868.

Note: This Henry Ryan, born in 1841, was NOT the son of Wlliam and Rebecca Scroggins Ryan. Their son was Henry F. Ryan, born in early 1850. See them in the US Census, Polk Co, MO, in 1850, 1860, 1870. Henry F. Ryan's ages are shown as 6/12, 10, and 19.
