Notes for Raymond Francis CROSSWHITE
Raymond F. Crosswhite, 82, Springfield, died Sunday morning Nov. 22, 1987 after a long illness. He was a native of Polk County, moving to Springfield in 1943 from Morrisville. A retired Correctional officer from the U.S. Medical Center, he was a member of Brighten United Methodist Church and Soloman Masonic Lodge No. 271. Survivors include his wife, Lena Mae; two sons, Ralph E. an Kenneth Ray, both of Springfield; two sisters, Ona Hoover, Springfield, and Reevel Piper, Independence; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with the Revs. Dean Baldwin and Lee Huitt officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m today in the funeral home.
