Eldon Leroy Coale

Eldon Leroy Coale was born on May 18, 1922 to Mahlon Leroy and Lelia Cargill Coale. He passed away in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO on March 14, 2012.

When he was a young boy of 16, he was saved in a revival meeting in July of 1938, while the congregation was singing Amazing Grace.

On February 28, 1943 he was married to his childhood sweetheart, Olive Belle Smith. To this union a son was born, Larry Lee.

In June of 1944 Eldon was drafted into the Army during World War II. He served in the Europe Theater and was discharged in 1946. During this time his son was born and he returned to finally see hm when he was 9 months old. After the war he returned to the farm and was involved in farming most of his life in Cedar County, MO.

On December 29, 1974 he married Ruby Hurt Clark. They traveled and enjoyed companionship for 31 years.

Eldon was preceded in death by his first wife of 31 years, Olive Bell Coale; his second wife Ruby Clark Coale; his parents, Mahlon and Leila Coale and one brother, Carl Eugene Coale.

He is survived by his son, Larry and wife Kathy; grandson Rick Coale and his wife, Sarah; Granddaughter Kelly McPeak and her husband, Eric McPeak; Great grandchildren, Kirby Coale and his wife Brittany, Cory Coale, Regan Hollinsworth and her husband Robert, Ethan McPeak and his wife Brooke, Cameron McPeak;and one great great granddaughter, Lexi Belle Hollinsworth.

Pallbearrers: Rick Coale, Kirby Coale, Ethan McPeak, Eric McPeak, Cory Coale, Robert Hollinsworth.
