Notes for Victor Howard INGLE
Victor Howard Ingle, 75, of 1200 Chestnut St., Kelso, died Feb 24, 1996 in a local nursing home.

Known as Howard to his friends and family, he was born Oct. 15, 1920 in Las Animas, Colo., to Jesse and Helen (Fox) Ingle and came to the local area from Colorado 55 years ago.

Mr. Ingle was an Army veteran of World War II.

He worked as a welder at Longview Fibre Co. for nearly 38 years, retiring in 1983. In 1959 he was elected to serve as a supervisor for Kelso's Diking District 3, a position he retained until his retirement in 1989. Memberships included the Association of Western Pulp and Paper workers Local 153 and Kelso Elks.

On April 25, 1942 he and Esther Brill were married in Kelso. She survives him at home.

Also surviving are three sons, Craig G. Ingle of Seattle, John R. Ingle and Dennis C. Ingle both of Kelso and four grandchildren. A brother, Ralph Ingle preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kelso Ward, 2884 North Pacific Ave., with Bishop Randle Peck officiating.

The Daily News, Longview, WA, Tuesday March 7, 2000

Esther Ingle, 78 died March 4, 2000 at her home in Longview.

She was born July 27, 1921 in Portland to John and Esther (Hable) Brill, and lived in the Kelso area most of her life. She was a graduate of Kelso High School.

She and Howard Ingle were married April 25, 1942, in Kelso. Mrs. Ingle worked in the Portland ship yards during World War II while her husband was in the service.

She also took care of her mother for 30 years. Her big heart, giving of her time and energy in service to others.
While her children were in school she was very involved in the PTA. She was also a former member of the Eagles Auxiliary and the Ladies of Elks.

She grew dahlias that people would come to her home to see. A great bargain hunter, she kept family members in mind as she shopped. She also loved canning and bingo.

Her husband, Howard, died in 1996. Survivors include three sons, Craig G. Ingle of Seattle, John R. Ingle of Kelso and Dennis C. Ingle of Cadiz, KY.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dahl-McVicker Funeral Home with committal to follow at Cowlitz View Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Canterbury Garden 1324 Third Ave., Longview, WA or the Alzheimer's Association 1422 N.W. 85th St. Seattle, WA.
