Richard A. Spicola, 68, of Connellsville, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025.
He was born October 12, 1956 in Wheeling, W.Va., a son of the late Salvatore and Julia (Guariglia) Spicola.
Over the years Richard worked for B&O, Chessie System railroads and retired from CSX Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer with 42 years of service. Richard was an avid golfer and took advantage of any opportunity to be on the golf course.
Richard is survived by his sister Linda Keffer and husband Tom of Dawson, a brother James Spicola and wife Kimberly of Connellsville, a niece Kristi Firestone and husband Brandon of Connellsville, great-nephew Emmett Firestone, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME LLC 123 S. 1st St. West Side, Connellsville (724) 628-9033 on Sunday from 2-7 PM and Monday from Noon-1 PM the time of Prayer Service with Fr. Edwin Rubido officiating. Interment will follow in St. Rita Cemetery.
