1. S. (Sherm) Yates, 90, died Wednesday at his home. 1011 North Prospect.

Mr. Yates, a retired farmer and a member of the High Street Fundamental Baptist Church, was a native of Buffalo.

He lived most of his life in Pleasant Hope before moving in 1941to Springfield, where he was in the real estate business.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; two sons, Alva, 2217 North Kansas and H. Archie of Nixa; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Cowden, Kansas City; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Harris of Nixa is in charge of arrangements.
