Notes for Sarandra L. MARKEL
Saranda Markell was born in York county, Pennsylvania, August 10, 1860 and died December 18, 1935. She was united in marriage in September 1878 to Amos L. Roser, who preceded her in death 22 years ago. To this union nine children were born, five having died in infancy. Those surviving are Elvirda Davis, Mary Saddler, Chester C. Roser, Umphrey M. Roser; sister, Mrs. Rebecca Brenneman. She was a pioneer of Kansas having lived on a farm north of McCracken nearly 50 years. Burial in the McCracken cemetery.

Notes for Amos L. (Spouse 1)
February 13, 1914 Amos L. Roser, died at his home north of McCracken, February 5, after a brief illness. He was born in York county, PA August 23, 1856. In March 1879 be was united in marriage to Saranda Market and to this union were born nine children, four of whom are living. He with his family moved to Kansas in 1879 and located at their present home in Ness county where be resided until his death. He leaves besides his wife two daughters, Mrs. P.J. Miller of Park, KS, Mrs. J.H. Sadler, Dwight, KS and two sons! Chester and Humphry of McCracken. His mother, four sister and three brothers also mourn his loss. Funeral services were held from the United Brethren church with burial in the McCracken city cemetery.
