He is survived by his wife, Zelpha Marie; sons, George, Ernest, Alfred and James; daughters, Mrs. Rella Correll, Mrs. Lyman Mclntosh, Mrs. John Powers, Mrs. Oleta Shaffer, Mrs. Irene Hindman and Miss Geneva Roser. Burial in the Rocky Ford Cemetery.

Zelpha Marie Roser died Sept. 19, 1984, at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital. She had been a resident in Pueblo for the past 11 years. she was born in 1902 to James and Mary Ann Hurt Johnson inEldorado, Mo. She is survived by nine children, Irene Hindman, La Junta; George Roser, Cucamonga, Calif.; Rella Correll, Yoder, Colo.; Ernest Roser and Jim Roser, bothof Colorado Springs; Alfred Roser, Portland, Ore.; Neoma McIntosh, Oleta Schneider and Winona Powers, all of Pueblo; brother, Don Johnson, Pueblo; sister, Ethel Wood Worth, Las Animas; 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Umphrey, and daughter, Genevia Avara. Mrs. Roser attended Prairie Avenue Baptist Church and was a member of the First Christian Church in Rocky ford. the Rev. George White will officiate the service at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at Ustick Funeral Home. Internment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford.
