Notes for Nicie Ann JOHNSON
Nicie's Story

Nicie Ann (Johnson) Warren, born Feb. 18, 1929, passed Sept. 27, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

Her roles as a wife, mother and then grandmother were important. She understood what was valuable in life and that was faith and family. We were shown by example the true definition of what a mother is, supportive nurturer and always unconditional love.

She had heartaches in her 87 years. She lost her husband, Jack; son, Robert; grandson, Bobby; parents, Charles and Marie Johnson; brothers, Monroe, Orvilee, Amhurst, Alfred, and Jack; and sister, Ellen. Also the ability to walk many years ago, and was bedridden. It never broke her spirit. Her Bible and devotion to Jehovah was her comfort and strength.

She always had a smile for anyone that came to visit. Grandkids loved to hear her stories. She had the amazing ability to spit out dates and names from the past. It was her life and our history.

If you are lucky enough that your family has a person that is your touchstone. The glue that holds your family strong. Always there for you through anything. That was her.

She leaves behind a legacy, an enormous family tree of 63 and counting. Gloria Shears, Tom and Christy Warren, Jacci and Brad Morris, Patti and Ralph Kassab, Edie and David Comer; 22 grandchildren, Jeff, Christy, Erin, Nathan, Amy Warren, Richard Matteson, Cindy Sanchez, Tim Ransom, Shelly, Chris Evans, Jason, Taryn, Travis, Manda, David Morris, Leon, Laura, Lillian Kassab, Jake, Justin, Chelsea Comer; 24 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.

See you in paradise, Momma. It's time to rest. Your work is done and He is pleased.

“I am bound to them though I cannot look into their eyes or hear their voices. I honor their history. I cherish their lives.
I will tell their story. I will remember them for I am the result of the very love, struggle, sacrifice and journey of thousands.”
