Charles Johnson
Charles Thomas Johnson, 92, 2631 Byers Ave., died at 12:11 a.m. Friday at a Joplin nursing home, where he had resided since Oct 5.
Mr. Johnson was born Aug. 26, 1890, at LaCygne, Kan. He had lived in Joplin 23 years, previously residing at Pueblo, Colo., and El Dorado Springs. He was a retired public employee.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Nicie Warren and Mrs. Ellen Bartlett, both of Joplin; four sons, Jack Johnson, Colorado Springs, Colo., F.C. Johnson, Grove, Okla., O.L. Johnson, Wallace, Idaho, and Al Johnson, Melvern, Kan.; a brother, her, Donald Johnson, Pueblo; two sisters, Mrs. Zelpha Roser, Pueblo, and Mrs. Ethel Woodworth, Eads, Colo.; and 7 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at El Dorado Springs Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home, Webb City.
Friends may call at the funeral home until 11 a.m. today.
