He married (1) Sarah A. Johnson August 03, 1883 in Louisburg, Dallas County, Missouri. She was born Nov. 12, 1865, and died May 12, 1884 in Buffalo, Dallas County, Missouri. She was the daughter of James Johnston and Lydia Ann Sedgwick.
He married (2) Sarah Lettie "Etta" Ryan October 04, 1885 in Louisburg, Missouri. Daughter of Henry Ryan and Mary Pheifer She was born August 26, 1867 in Bolivar, Missouri, and died July 06, 1960 in Cassville, Missouri.

Peter David Coble, aged 75, one of the old citizens of Washburn, passed away at his home November 21. On October 4, 1885, he was united in marriage to Sarah L. Ryan and to this union were born eleven children, eight of whom with the wife survive him, also 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He came to Barry County in 1885 and has lived in the county since. For about 30 years he has been a faithful member of the Baptist church and was held in high esteem by his friends and acquaintances. Funeral services were held in the church house at Washburn, Nov. 22, conducted by Rev. J. T. Brattin and interment was made in the Washburn cemetery under the direction of W. D. Koon.
