Kenneth W. Koski, 75, of Pueblo, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 4, 2014. Kenneth W. Koski Preceded in death by his parents, Arvid and Lilly Koski; and his brother, Duane Koski. Survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Darlene; son, Scott (Beth Mauro) Koski; grandchildren, Kristen, Anthony, Nina and Anna; son, Brett (Tracy) Koski; grandchildren, Brayden and Brody; sister, Sherry (Jack Selway) Koski; sisters-in- law, Nancy Koski, Betty Laprarie, Diane (Bud) Patterson; brother-in- law, Don (Betty) English; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ken graduated from Pueblo Central High School in 1956. He became an auto mechanic and along with fellow mechanic George “Buzz” Sharp, they turned a fledgling auto repair shop into a thriving successful sales and repair shop in Pueblo called Import Auto. Ken enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with his boys. His duck hunting trips to Monte Vista with his brother and sons are a cherished memory. In his later years, he enjoyed entertaining and caring for his grandchildren, trips to Cripple Creek and poker games at the Elks Lodge. He was affectionately known as the “Popsicle Man” to the neighborhood children as he was known to pass them out daily. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family respectfully requests the omission of food and flowers. At Ken’s request, casual attire is encouraged.
