Notes for Roy James HABSTRITT
Roy was born in Vallers Township, Minnesota, and came to Alberta with his parents in 1908. He applied for homestead entry in 1911, for SE-2-55-5W4, north of Islay, Alberta. His application shows he was born in Minnesota, and had last been living in N. Dakota, occupation, farmer. Patent for Roy's homestead was granted in 1914.

Roy J. Habstritt and Ada E.M. Wilcox were married at Vermilion, Alberta in 1919.

HABSTRITT--January 4th, Roy James Habstritt, aged 73 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Adah Habstritt of 4719 1 St. S.W., passed away after a lengthy illness. Born in Marshall, Minnesota he came to Alberta in 1908 and to Calgary in 1948. He was a member of St. Anthony's Church and of the Holy Name Society.
Besides his loving wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George (Mary) McClinton of Edmonton and Mrs. Helen Deines of Calgary. Two sons, Robert (Bobby) Habstritt of Red Deer and Allan of Calgary. One brother, John of Vermilion; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Hodgdon of Theresa, Wisconsin and Mrs. Maude Peterson of Nelson, B.C. six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
