!Information from internet obtained 4 Aug 1998 has parents' names listed as Roger Phillpott alias Mylwarde and his wife, Matilda. D. date in Jun 1560 as burial was on 16 Jun 1560. He served as Sheriff of Bristoll in 1550/1551.

!2. Bristol, Gloucester, England apprentice records name Roger Philpott, grocer and his wife, Matilda,as taking John, son of Thomas Hewys of Bristol, as an apprentice in an indenture for 8 years. Document dated 26 Oct 1542; on 3 Mar 1543, they accepted John, son of Thomas Scalys as an apprentice for 8 yrs.; 11 Aug 1546, Nicholas, son of Roger Phylpott late Bristol grocer was apprenticed to Roger Phylpott, grocer, and his wife Matilda for 10 yrs. In a memorandum dated 29 Nov 1546, Roger Mylward is named as "shrife" of Bristol in another "indentour". And on 10 Apr 1550, William Rowley, son of a Bristol merchant is indentured as apprentice to "Roger Phylpot alias Myller, grocer, and Matilda, his wyfe: for 10 yrs.

!3. "The Maire of Bristowe is Kalendar; its list of Civic Officers collated with contempoaray Legal Mss"., pub. in Transactions of the Bristol Record Society for the Year 1903, pg. 136, shows Roger Mylwarde served as Sheriff of Bristol in the year 1550-1551.

year 1894/95, FHL# 1426044 shows a similar calendar as above, but calls him Roger Philips, grocer.

!5. Will, Prerogative Court of Canterbury Probates, folio 47 Mellershe, will dated 25 Jun 1560, wp 24 Oct 1560, FHL# 91938. Here, his name is given as Roger Phelpott als. Mellward or Milward.
