Document dated 26 Oct 1542; on 3 Mar 1543, they accepted John, son of Thomas Scalys as an apprentice for 8 yrs.; 11 Aug 1546, Nicholas, son of Roger Phylpott late Bristol grocer was apprenticed to Roger Phylpott, grocer, and his wife Matilda for 10 yrs. In a memorandum dated 29 Nov 1546, Roger Mylward is named as "shrife" of Bristol in another "indentour". And on 10 Apr 1550, William Rowley, son of a Bristol merchant is indentured as apprentice to "Roger Phylpot alias Myller, grocer, and Matilda, his wyfe: for 10 yrs.
