License for John & Martha BREWER. (6) Tombstones. (7) Ruby had a son out of wedlock when she was about 16. Her two oldest sisters took her to Kansas City to have the child. They signed away her parental rights to the child and also signed to have her sterilized. Martha refused to have them in her home for about twenty five years. The child, born Earl Brewer, was raised as Bennie Tippins, adopted by Sam and Allie Tippins. He found his family after years of searching and was at a Brewer reunion in Apr 1993.
