Book: John and Edward Tuck of Halifax County, Virginia and Some of Their Descendants compiled by Aletha Jane Macon, copyright 1964, from page 14:
EDWARD TUCK, a minor in 1780, was willed the home and plantation of his father. One Patty Ashlock and her children were to continue living there until he came of age. He was married 22 December 1791 by the Rev. Thomas Dobson to LUCY STANLEY, daughter of John and Silldra Stanley. In 1793, he bought from John Tuck 23 acres on Aaron's Creek. His death occurred within a few years as his widow on 30 April 1796 married William Chapman, with John Tuck as surety. That he left children is shown by a record deated 9 Sep 1809, of a sale of "land adjacent to that owned by the orphans of Edward Tuck deceased."
